Use distilled water only

Sitting in one to two inches of water, let all the water evaporate between watering

​

After I purchased this plant it quickly went dormant, forming two tight "balls" of succulent leaves. These then split into a multitude of small plants as you can see in the photos. 

​

Once the majority of plantlets reached at least 1/4 of an inch across I carefully pulled apart the balls to individual plants and re-potted them.
